Con questo film è caduto il tabù del siciliano mafioso ignorante.Buscetta con solo la seconda elementare ha dimostrato una intelligenza e dialettica sopra la media, non solo aveva conoscenze di lingue straniere, ma aveva unintelligenza sveglia.I veri confronti nei tribunali con i vari esponenti malavitosi sono epici, é, Pippo Caló ne hanno pagato il confronto. Favino is certainly the strong point of the whole film, with a really intense acting from beginning to end.
